The camel-riding experience, held as part of the ninth edition of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival under the theme "Glory to Its People," drew a large turnout of visitors. The activity, organized in the cultural camp area, has become a major draw for families and tourists from inside and outside the Kingdom, with more than 700 visitors, including children and young people, enjoying a unique experience reflecting authentic Saudi heritage.

Teaching Visitors the Art of Camel Riding

Organizers gave visitors a detailed explanation of how to ride camels using traditional tools such as the "khitam" (halter), used to guide and control the camel while walking. Visitors also learned techniques for directing commands to the camel and how to dismount safely, making the experience both educational and entertaining.

Festival organizers were keen to diversify activities to suit all age groups, aiming to boost national identity and educate new generations about the importance of Saudi cultural heritage. Alongside the camel-riding experience, the festival's events include cultural and heritage displays that highlight the national significance of this festival.

The King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, held in the Al-Sayaheed area, is the largest of its kind in the world, featuring wide Gulf, Arab and international participation. The festival is organized by the Camel Club, which seeks to raise the level of services provided to camel owners and enthusiasts of this popular heritage, making it a heritage and cultural event that elevates national aspirations.
