As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen heritage and cultural events, Al-Jouf Deputy Governor Hussein bin Mohammed Al Sultan visited the second edition of the Al-Jouf Camel Auction, held in Dumat Al-Jandal governorate, where he reviewed the event's main activities and met with a number of participants and organizing bodies.

The deputy governor's tour included the auction's various sections and camel-display grounds, as well as pavilions from participating government and private entities and organizational facilities, and he praised the high level of professionalism in the event's preparation and organization, commending the cooperation of all partner agencies in its success.

Al Sultan said during the visit that the support of HRH Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jouf region, and his deputy for such events reflects the wise leadership's commitment — may God support it — to preserving and strengthening cultural heritage, and to enabling economic and social activities that contribute to regional development and activate the role of local communities.

He also highlighted the prominent role played by Dumat Al-Jandal governorate municipality and its government and private partners in delivering an advanced edition of this important heritage event, befitting the region's rich history and its cultural identity tied to camel culture and its place in Saudi memory.

The Al-Jouf Camel Auction continues to see notable turnout from visitors and participants, serving as an economic, social and heritage platform that helps boost commercial and tourism activity in the region.
