In a festive heritage atmosphere, Dumat Al-Jandal governorate hosted the official ceremony for the second edition of the Al-Jouf Camel Auction on Thursday evening, under the generous patronage of HRH Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jouf region, with the attendance of Dumat Al-Jandal governor and auction supervisor-general Dr. Talal Al-Tumayat.

The ceremony opened with recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address delivered on behalf of camel owners by Saad bin Nasser Al-Subaie, who highlighted the importance of the auction in preserving national heritage, stimulating local economic activity, and strengthening camel culture as an authentic part of Saudi identity.

The evening also featured a poem celebrating authentic heritage, followed by a national operetta segment embodying meanings of loyalty and belonging, and highlighting the symbolic and cultural place of camels in Saudi memory through a live audiovisual show that brought folk heritage and traditional performances to life.

At the close of the ceremony, the governor of Dumat Al-Jandal honored a number of supporters and success partners in recognition of their outstanding efforts in the auction's success, an event that has become a leading economic, social and heritage platform in the region.

The Al-Jouf Camel Auction is among the region's most prominent heritage events, celebrating camel culture, supporting the livestock production sector, and boosting domestic tourism, in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goals of strengthening cultural identity and achieving sustainable regional development.
