Buraidah, 26 Rajab 1447 AH (15 January 2026)
Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim, has directed that the 17th Kleija Festival in Buraidah be extended by five additional days, closing at the end of next Thursday, in response to the strong turnout of visitors, productive families and enthusiasts of food and cultural heritage.
The Governor said the extension supports participating families and gives more visitors the chance to enjoy the festival and its heritage products, which reflect the identity and history of Qassim. The Kleija Festival, he noted, has become a landmark on the calendar of seasonal events and an effective economic and social platform that empowers productive families and promotes domestic tourism.
He praised the festival's outstanding organisation and varied content, which reflect the growth of an idea that began locally and has reached a broad national audience, and affirmed the emirate's continued support for everything that showcases folk heritage and turns it into sustainable economic value in line with Vision 2030.
The Buraidah Kleija Festival is one of the region's foremost heritage events, bringing together folk dishes, handicrafts and accompanying activities in an integrated cultural and social experience that reflects the authenticity of Saudi heritage and supports the local economy.
