The Executive Council of the Conference of Ministers of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in the Islamic World has issued the final statement of its 15th session, held under the chairmanship of Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh by video link from his office in Jeddah Governorate, with the participation of ministers of endowments and Islamic affairs from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of The Gambia, the State of Kuwait, the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Morocco.

Council Decisions and Approved Topics

The Executive Council took several important decisions, including:

  • Approving scientific working papers submitted by member states.
  • Approving specialized topics for the tenth general conference on developing joint Islamic work and strengthening the role of ministries of endowments and Islamic affairs in serving communities.
  • Setting the theme of the tenth conference as "The Responsibility of Ministries of Islamic Affairs and Endowments in Preserving Islamic Identity and Promoting the Values of Citizenship".
  • Announcing that the 16th session will be held in Makkah in the second quarter of 2027.

The Council's Condemnations

In its statement the council:

  • Condemned the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf Cooperation Council states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, considering them a threat to regional and international security and stability and a violation of Islamic values and principles and international charters.
  • Denounced the repeated violations by the Israeli occupation at the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque and its closure to worshippers during the month of Ramadan.

Appreciation for the Kingdom and Support for the Conference

The council expressed its thanks and gratitude to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for supporting the conference and Islamic affairs, affirming its appreciation for the continued care given to joint Islamic work and community services for Islamic countries.
