The Woven Places 2023 exhibition continues at Fenaa Alawwal in Riyadh until July 31. It focuses on Saudi textile arts and crafts and the heritage meanings they carry in each region of the Kingdom, while also exploring cultural motifs and poetic phrases inscribed on natural fabrics. Visitors can discover remarkable historical elements of the Kingdom in an artistic setting that aims to foster collaboration and exchange between world cultures.

The exhibition also seeks to support local creativity in the Kingdom by backing the journeys of local artists and helping them create. It features works by ten contemporary artists from Saudi Arabia and around the world, presenting a variety of art installations that tell multi-layered stories.

The exhibition is a reflective journey through the ways history, tradition, culture, and individual and collective memory are expressed, all presented through artworks that embody the artists' feelings or have accompanied them through their lives. It also highlights the relationship between an artist's experience and their work, and promotes cross-cultural exchange by creating an artistic dialogue between Saudi and international creatives.
