The Eastern Province is preparing for the opening tomorrow, Tuesday, of the STATIC ARABIA 2026 exhibition and conference on static equipment engineering and maintenance at Dhahran Expo in Al Khobar, running until 10 September 2026 with leading industry figures, experts and specialists from the oil, gas and energy sectors.

STATIC ARABIA is a specialized platform for professionals in static equipment engineering and maintenance to discuss the latest practices and strategies for improving asset reliability and performance and extending operational life, as well as the challenges facing the oil, gas and energy sectors.

The event is held under the sponsorship of IFM and organized by Aldrich Center of Excellence, with support from IFM Expo & Global Industrial Utilities Forum. Its specialized program combines an exhibition, a conference and panel sessions on the technical and operational issues of asset management and maintenance.

Key themes include reliability-centered maintenance and strategies for extending the life of static equipment, as energy and industrial facilities increasingly move from traditional maintenance to more proactive models built on risk analysis, higher asset readiness and fewer failures.

One specialized session brings together experts and specialists from major industrial and energy companies to discuss ways of strengthening equipment reliability and achieving higher levels of safety and performance over the long term. Speakers include Salman Saeed Bazarwan, Inspection Specialist at SABIC; Tariq Kashoub, QA/QC Manager at OQEP; V. Dayanidhi Vijayakumar, Supervisor at Borreston & Co. / Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company – Luberef; and Mohammed Habash, Project Manager at S-Chem. The session is moderated by Mohammed Abulkhair Fatairi, Head of Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineering at Petro Rabigh.

The exhibition comes as the reliability of industrial assets grows in importance, especially at facilities whose operations depend on static equipment, with discussions focusing on proactive maintenance strategies, asset integrity, operational efficiency and extending equipment service life.
