The official website of the second World Stadiums and Arenas Summit now lists 10–11 January 2027 at Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences. The dates replace 14–15 October 2026, which appeared in an earlier announcement, moving the summit into the beginning of next year while retaining Riyadh as its host city.

A press release distributed by Action Global Communications on 16 June 2026 had identified the October dates while announcing the National Center for Privatization and JLL as event partners. Comparing that dated announcement with the current summit website establishes the revised schedule. The sources reviewed did not provide a dated explanation for the change, and no reason for the rescheduling has been confirmed.

From construction to year-round operation

The summit’s published programme extends beyond building sports venues to how they operate and generate value throughout the year. Topics include connected stadium technology, sustainability, crowd movement and safety, spectator experience and diversified venue revenues. Cooling systems, adaptable design and digital solutions also connect construction decisions with longer-term operating requirements.

Connecting venues with athlete development

The summit forms part of World Sport 360, alongside Athlete 360 and the World Stadiums and Arenas Awards. The wider platform links sports infrastructure with athlete development. The June announcement described a parallel focus on injury prevention, recovery, health, performance and sports science, bringing the needs of the people using sports facilities into the discussion about their development.

The event website identifies Creative Connection Events as the organiser, in association with Great Minds Event Management. The Saudi-based organiser describes its services as including conferences and exhibitions, event strategy, venue selection and programme design. Its official website also documents its collaboration with Great Minds across specialist events in the Kingdom.

January becomes the updated reference

The revised dates provide a clearer reference for participants planning their involvement. Programme and participation details should continue to be checked against official channels. Earlier promotional material carrying October dates should be understood in its original context rather than treated as confirmation that the previous schedule still applies.
