Known for its fertile soil and abundant natural water, it became a draw for traders and an important stop after Al-Uqair port. Jawatha also holds religious importance, as its people were among the first to embrace Islam in the region, and it is home to the historic Jawatha Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Al-Ahsa.
