The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) took part in the 10th Arab Forum of Experts on Geographical Names, hosted by the Kingdom in Jeddah from November 10-12, 2024, under the patronage of the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information. Held under the theme "Strengthening Relations and Ties Among Arab Countries in Geographical Names," the forum aims to unify efforts in geographic data across the Arab world.

At the forum, SDAIA presented its "Data and AI Glossary," developed in partnership with the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language. The glossary compiles key technical terms related to data and artificial intelligence, with concise definitions in both Arabic and English. It was prepared by a team of Saudi specialists and reviewed and approved by a dedicated committee of technical experts and linguists.

SDAIA also presented its pioneering "Data and AI Radar" initiative, which covers 61 technologies and more than 200 use cases. Considered one of the world's standout initiatives in the field, the radar offers a comprehensive classification of the latest data and AI technologies according to their stage of development and expected benefit. Its interactive platform lets users explore these technologies via a direct link on SDAIA's website.

As part of its efforts to build Arabic technical content, SDAIA also presented its "AI Guide for Executives," designed to simplify AI concepts and provide comprehensive background on common terms and technologies. In line with its awareness-raising role, SDAIA also publishes a weekly newsletter covering the latest AI developments, serving as a cultural window onto society and helping build a knowledge-based community aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
