The "Noor Riyadh 2024" celebration launched this evening under the theme "From Earth to Ether," amid a dazzling artistic atmosphere at the King Abdulaziz Historical Center. Running from November 28 to December 14, the event spans three main sites — the King Abdulaziz Historical Center, Wadi Hanifah, and JAX District — bringing together more than 60 light artworks created by 60 artists from 18 countries.

A Dazzling Opening Show Lights Up Riyadh's Sky

The opening night featured a stunning aerial display that lit up Riyadh's sky with 1,500 drones, choreographed by the international visual artists' collective United Visual Artists. The performance, titled "Ether," drew its imagery from the hidden forces that shape the world, blending light, sound and motion into a striking artistic tableau.

Local and International Artists Under One Sky

This year's celebration brings together 18 Saudi artists and 43 international artists from countries including France, Japan, the United States, Italy and South Korea. Participating artists include Yousef Al-Ahmad, Nujoud Al-Qubaisi, Refik Anadol, and Krista Kim, alongside collectives such as Marshmallow Laser Feast and NONOTAK.
