Malham, Riyadh, 11 December 2024. The King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2024 saw thrilling competitions among international falcon owners on its ninth day, with 187 falconers from various countries taking part. The competitions are held at the Saudi Falcons Club headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, and continue through 19 December, with prizes exceeding SR36 million — the largest in the festival's history.

Today's Results

Competitors vied across six rounds for the "Shaheen" (young and adult), "Hurr" (young and adult) and "Jeer Taba" (young and adult) categories, with strong competitions and notable results:

  • Young Shaheen round: 1st, "Al-Adwani," owned by Kuwaiti Eid Al-Ajmi; 2nd, "Al-Wathiq S81," owned by Bahraini Abdulwahab Al-Hajri; 3rd, "November," owned by Qatari Abdulmohsen Al-Marri.
  • Adult Shaheen round: 1st, "Al-Hasm," owned by Emirati Faleh Al-Nuaimi; 2nd, "Musmar," owned by Qatari Khalid Al-Nuaimi; 3rd, "Daytona," owned by Kuwaiti Fahad Al-Azmi.
  • Young Hurr round: 1st, "Jalmoud," owned by Emirati Abdulwahab bin Shu'ail; 2nd, "Baqira," owned by Qatari Saad Al-Nuaimi; 3rd, "Dilmok," owned by Nasser Al-Nuaimi.
  • Adult Hurr round: 1st, "Haddad," owned by Qatari Mubarak bin Nayfa; 2nd, "Metro," owned by Qatari Saad Al-Nuaimi; 3rd, "Muwafaq," owned by Emirati Hamad Mujran.
  • Young Jeer Taba round: the top three places all went to Qatari Mohammed Al-Asiri, through falcons T87, T33 and T59.
  • Adult Jeer Taba round: 1st, "T26," owned by Qatari Mohammed Al-Asiri; 2nd, "Mubhir," owned by Emirati Khalifa Al-Kindi; 3rd, "Marzouq," owned by Bahraini Ahmed Mandi.

A Global Event

The festival is the largest gathering of falcons in the world, having entered the Guinness World Records three times for the number of falcons participating. The event brings together elite local and international falconers, cementing its status as a global platform for falconry enthusiasts.
