Third Edition of "Al-Rams Car Show" Kicks Off in Al-Awamiyah With Wide Turnout
The third edition of the "Al-Rams Car Show" got underway yesterday at the Al-Rams project in central Al-Awamiyah, Qatif governorate. Running over four days, the show is drawing car enthusiasts from across the Kingdom and the Gulf, with 450 classic, luxury and modified cars selected from more than 1,200 applications.
Standout programming promoting safety and fun
- A focus on road safety:
- Awareness programs on the main stage.
- Simulated accident scenarios: a demonstration vehicle mimicking a rollover, and a wheelchair display underscoring the importance of seatbelts.
- A 500-square-meter interactive zone for children featuring:
- coloring and drawing corners; and
- educational stories on the importance of crosswalks and seatbelts.
- A well-rounded experience for the whole family:
- 12 varied corners for car enthusiasts.
- Live musical performances by bands.
- Food stalls offering something for everyone.
- The latest in the automotive world:
- Displays of classic, luxury, sports and modified cars.
- A look at accessories, spare parts and advanced automotive technologies.
A boost for tourism and the local economy
Mohammed Al-Turki, head of the organizing committee and project director, said the event goes beyond showcasing cars, also helping to drive tourism and economic activity in Qatif governorate, noting that last year's edition attracted 57,000 visitors from across the Kingdom.
