SAL Saudi Logistics Services has strengthened its position as one of the Kingdom's leading logistics players by signing several key strategic partnerships on the sidelines of the Supply Chain and Logistics Conference 2024, held in Riyadh on 15 and 16 December 2024. The move aligns with Vision 2030's goal of establishing Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub built on innovation and sustainability.

Strategic partnerships to strengthen the logistics sector

SAL signed an agreement with the second airports cluster operator and the Hail Region Development Authority to expand logistics services in the Hail region via Hail International Airport. The agreement aims to:

  • boost regional exports and imports;
  • develop innovative solutions that raise logistics service efficiency; and
  • support economic development in vital areas of the Kingdom.

Adopting digital solutions with Elm

In a further step toward digital transformation, SAL signed a memorandum of understanding with Elm, a leading technology solutions provider. The agreement focuses on:

  • boosting operational efficiency through advanced technology solutions;
  • developing truck-scheduling systems and secure payment platforms; and
  • achieving integration with national platforms such as Absher and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.
