The Madinah Investment Forum, organized by the Madinah Chamber of Commerce, continued into its second day on Monday, 23 December 2024, with meetings and panel discussions covering the region's leading investment opportunities and competitive advantages.

The first workshop, titled "The Role of Investment Policies and Legislation in Enabling Private-Sector Investment," gave a comprehensive overview of the evolution of the Kingdom's investment regulations, stressing the importance of public-private partnership in strengthening the legislative and regulatory framework that supports investment. The workshop also covered recent updates to the executive regulations of the Investment Law and their impact on improving services and facilities for the business sector, and on making the most of the region's competitive advantages.

The forum also held an introductory session on the "Manafeh Initiative," which focused on the initiative's goals and roadmap, as well as its efforts to improve the investment environment in Madinah and strengthen cooperation among stakeholders.

As part of the day's program, the second panel discussion, titled "A Promising Development and Competitive Destination," saw participants discuss Madinah's comparative and competitive advantages and its role in developing vital sectors such as hospitality and logistics, as well as boosting growth in the real estate sector and supporting industrial infrastructure.

That was followed by the third panel discussion, titled "Financing and Investment Funds: Drivers of Investment in the Madinah Region," which reviewed the role of national, commercial and private funds in financing investment and development projects, and their importance in supporting economic activity in the region.

The exhibition accompanying the Madinah Investment Forum saw wide participation from government and private entities, which showcased their investment opportunities with the aim of strengthening communication and building new partnerships that support development and investment in the Madinah region.
