King Khalid University, represented by its Deanship of E-Services, organized a technology forum titled "Our Digital Future SWITCH 2024" at the university city in Al-Far'a, attended by academic leaders and technology experts. The forum aims to accelerate technical innovation and adopt the latest technologies to keep pace with digital transformation and boost institutional efficiency.

Launching Innovative Platforms and Initiatives

The forum saw the announcement of a number of new digital platforms and technology initiatives aimed at improving the quality of university services, including:

  • An updated Smart Communication System: aimed at improving the university's internal and external communication channels, boosting effective communication among all parties.
  • The "EStronaut" hackathon: a competitive virtual platform for university staff to showcase their skills in programming and artificial intelligence and develop innovative digital solutions serving the university community.
  • A visual presentation titled "Our Present: An Extension of Our Future": spotlighting current digital progress and future goals.

Leadership Visions for Digital Transformation

University President Dr. Falih bin Raja Allah Al-Solamy said the forum reflects the university's vision of turning technical potential into tangible reality that strengthens institutional efficiency, laying strong foundations for an innovative tech environment that supports the university's goals and future strategies.

The forum also featured a panel discussion titled "Leadership Visions for a Digital Future," featuring deputies of the Deanship of E-Services, discussing the deanship's future direction and its role in the university's digital transformation.
