Makkah, 28 Ramadan 1446 AH (28 March 2025)

The Grand Mosque welcomed more than 2.5 million worshippers on the night of the 29th of Ramadan for Taraweeh prayers and the Qur'an-completion ceremony, amid a spiritually charged atmosphere of devotion and tranquility.

The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque mobilized its resources to manage the crowds and operational services, preparing 33,000 prayer rugs, 428 escalators, 28 elevators and 1,300 speakers to carry the sound clearly. The Authority also stepped up sanitation and Zamzam water services to ensure worshippers' comfort, alongside operating the "Tanaqul" app for electric-cart services.
