Al-Mousa Arts Complex in the capital Riyadh has turned into a vibrant creative stage during Riyadh Art, organized by the Visual Arts Commission, drawing a constellation of Saudi and international artists who presented contemporary works exploring concepts of identity, memory and belonging through fresh and varied artistic approaches.

The exhibition at the complex offers a multi-media art experience spanning conceptual installations, video art, sculpture and photography, with artists using modern techniques and innovative materials to spark sensory engagement with the audience and open the door to reflection on the meaning of place and belonging in a time of change.

The works on display capture the spirit of Saudi Arabia's artistic movement through a contemporary visual narrative drawing on heritage, architecture and personal memory, moving between abstraction and symbolism while spotlighting themes such as displacement, belonging and the intersections of cultural identity.

Some works stood out for their use of lighting, sound effects and tactile materials to create sensory scenes that stimulate the senses and open channels of dialogue between the work and the viewer. The exhibition is also one of the highlights of the first edition of Riyadh Art, which brought together more than 50 art institutions from inside and outside the Kingdom, reflecting the accelerating growth of Saudi Arabia's cultural scene.

Riyadh Art aims to open new horizons for visual art in Saudi Arabia by expanding exhibition spaces, deepening public dialogue around art, and enabling artists to present their visions on platforms that embrace diversity and experimentation and enrich the public's aesthetic taste.
