The capital Riyadh shone this week with a pulsing artistic rhythm reflecting the spirit of global creativity, through Riyadh Art, organized by the Visual Arts Commission, forming a major celebration of visual art and imagery with the participation of more than 200 artists from the Kingdom and around the world across 13 cultural sites in the capital.

The first edition of the event carries the theme “Art for Everyone,” a vivid embodiment of Saudi Vision 2030's aim to make arts and culture a central part of daily life and to turn the Kingdom into a global platform for contemporary creativity.

The event features more than 100 diverse artistic activities, ranging from exhibitions and workshops to panel discussions, live performances and educational activities for all ages. Among the highlights is the flagship exhibition “On the Horizon,” held in JAX District, bringing together works from 30 regional and international galleries that spotlight cultural dialogue between Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East and North Africa region.

The event also includes displays from Saudi art collections such as the Ithra center and the exhibition “Art Collections in Dialogue,” in addition to the sculpture exhibition “World of Silence,” organized by the Pure Art Foundation led by HRH Princess Adwa bint Yazeed, featuring 8 Saudi and Egyptian artists, and exhibitions at Al-Mousa Complex including “Hunna” (Them) and “Eastern Features.”

On the educational and artistic side, workshops offered include storytelling through drawing, pottery-making and still-life drawing, alongside cultural sessions exploring the challenges facing art locally and internationally with the participation of a select group of experts, artists and collectors.

The event runs through April 13, while some exhibitions continue until May 31, ensuring its impact endures as it redraws the map of Saudi art on the global stage.
