In a creative step aimed at redefining the art-collecting experience, the “Collect” exhibition, part of Riyadh Art, offers an unconventional experience in which works are purchased without visitors knowing the artist's name or signature, even after the purchase is complete — allowing visitors to rely entirely on their instinct and personal taste in choosing pieces.

The exhibition serves as an interactive art space that reinforces the value of art as a personal experience that transcends names and labels, seeking to support rising local and international artists by giving them a platform to present their work to a wide audience free of preconceived categorization, promoting a culture of artistic discovery and encouraging curiosity and enjoyment of art for its own sake.

“Collect” is distinguished by offering works at fair, accessible prices, making the collecting experience available to different segments of the public, helping empower emerging artists, support the local creative economy, and build a community that engages with art through a fresh perspective that moves beyond traditional concepts.

HRH Princess Sarah bint Sultan bin Fahd, co-founder of the exhibition, said “Collect” aims to break the traditional mold of art, noting that the exhibition marks a qualitative shift in the concept of display and collecting. “We seek to move beyond the traditional framework and support the local art ecosystem with innovative concepts,” she said. Co-founder Nayfa bint Raed Al-Brahim added that the strong community turnout reflects the public's enthusiasm for the idea and their keenness to support different artistic experiences.

For her part, exhibition curator Sarah Al-Orfi explained that “Collect” is a strategic initiative that connects the public with art in a direct and human way, away from elitist evaluations, stressing that the goal is to build a thriving art community that strengthens art's place in everyday life.
