Part of the Islamic Arts Biennale 2025, held under the theme "And All That Is In Between"

As part of the cultural program accompanying the Islamic Arts Biennale 2025, organized by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation under the theme "And All That Is In Between," the Western Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah hosted a distinctive workshop titled "The Art of Collecting: Turning Passion into Impact," offering an exceptional intellectual and emotional exploration of the art of acquiring artworks and pieces.

The workshop shed light on the profound shift that occurs when collecting moves beyond simple accumulation to become an artistic and cultural practice that expresses individual vision, forming an ongoing dialogue between a person and the pieces they choose, ultimately shaping a personal narrative rooted in taste and identity.

Sessions covered themes ranging from aesthetics and cultural understanding to the importance of reflection in the act of choosing, offering art lovers practical guidance on how to build an authentic collection that reflects personality and creates lasting cultural impact.

The workshop was one of the highlights of this year's Islamic Arts Biennale, giving visitors the chance to experience an interactive journey combining art, contemplation and human connection, from the exhibits on display to open discussions with specialists in art collecting.

Today, the art of collecting is a growing field that enriches cultural awareness and the local and international art scene – a direction the Diriyah Biennale Foundation seeks to reinforce through workshops of this kind that engage diverse audiences and invite them to experience art as a personal, passion-driven journey.
