As part of its efforts to reinforce cultural identity and promote civilizational understanding, the King Abdulaziz Center for World Dialogue organized a distinguished dialogue session titled "Islamic and Arab Values: A Driving Force for Building a Renewed Saudi Society," attended by a group of male and female intellectuals and individuals interested in cultural and social affairs, in the city of Tabuk.

Session Themes

Attendees discussed the importance of Islamic and Arab values in:

  • Shaping Saudi national identity.
  • Supporting positive belonging and citizenship.
  • Strengthening social cohesion and cultural integration.
  • Building a vibrant society aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 goals.

A Renewed National Vision

Participants affirmed that values derived from Islam and Arab heritage form the essence of Saudi society's conscience, and a source of its cohesion and progress, noting their role as a "cultural compass" that gives citizens balance between steadfastness in their positions and conscious openness to world cultures.

At the close of the session, Fayez Al-Balawi, the Center's regional supervisor, explained that the meeting is part of a series of events through which the Center seeks to promote a culture of understanding and openness, and to reinforce authentic principles as the foundation for balanced, constructive civilizational dialogue.
