Tabuk, 21 April 2025 (23 Shawwal 1446H)

In a celebration marking World Creativity and Innovation Day, Tabuk University launched the "Innovation and Creativity 2025 – Innovation Expo," featuring more than 170 innovative and creative projects from university students and various educational bodies across the Kingdom. The event was attended by university president Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ghamdi, along with a number of deans, vice-deans and academics.

The exhibition serves as a leading platform for promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, aiming to showcase creative, applicable ideas and solutions that address real-world challenges and contribute to building a knowledge society and supporting the national economy as part of Saudi Vision 2030.

From Innovation to Application

Dr. Omar bin Hammad Al-Balawi, head of Tabuk University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, said the exhibition hosts quality projects and research centered on smart solutions across several fields, including:

  • Energy
  • Environment
  • Health
  • Modern technologies
  • Education

Students from various educational stages took part, alongside university students, researchers and inventors, with projects reviewed and judged by specialized academic committees that provided feedback and supported model development.

A Platform to Stimulate National Minds and Talent

Al-Balawi said the exhibition represents the culmination of the university's efforts to support the innovation ecosystem from the earliest stages inside classrooms through to marketing and application platforms, affirming that Tabuk University works to empower students and creatives across disciplines to turn their ideas into tangible outcomes that support the knowledge economy and contribute to national prosperity.

The two-day exhibition includes presentations, dialogue sessions and interactive workshops highlighting the promising features of the Saudi innovation landscape.
