Media Minister Launches 'Media Pulse' Initiative With Meeting of Podcast Creators in Riyadh
Riyadh, April 28, 2025:
Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari has launched the "Media Pulse" initiative, part of the Year of Media Impact program, aimed at deepening dialogue between different media sectors and helping content creators develop their skills.
Key components
The initiative includes a series of regular meetings with content creators in podcasting, sports and talk shows, gaming, YouTube and digital media, and media production and journalism. It also launches two training tracks for podcast creators: a beginners' program covering hosting, editing, audio engineering and marketing, and a professional program run in partnership with local and international institutions to further develop skills. The initiative also seeks to build strategic partnerships between government and private entities to strengthen the media industry.
First meeting
The inaugural gathering, held at The Stage theatre in Riyadh, brought together more than 30 podcast industry specialists, who discussed the sector's challenges and development opportunities and reviewed statistics and initiatives from the General Authority for Media Regulation.
"We aim to make 'Media Pulse' a sustainable platform for exchanging expertise and driving development in the sector," the Minister of Media said.
