Al-Qahmah Economic Growth Project Concludes: A Month of Community Empowerment and Local Resource Development

The Community Development Association in Al-Qahmah center concluded the activities of the "Al-Qahmah Economic Growth" project, held over a full month in partnership with Al-Sahel Municipality and attended by the head of Al-Qahmah center, Turki bin Mohammed Al-Yazidi. The project served as a leading model for sustainable development and community participation in achieving local growth goals.

The project aimed to boost economic activity in Al-Qahmah center by investing in the area's natural and human resources, creating new job opportunities, and improving quality of life for residents, with a focus on empowering different segments of the community, including youth, women and craftspeople.

The activities carried out during the project included a wide range of events and training, entertainment and educational programs, most notably various training courses, theatrical performances, sports tournaments, cultural competitions and awareness lectures, which helped raise awareness and develop community skills.

The project also featured dedicated corners covering health awareness, local products from home-based producing families, traditional crafts, honey production, fine arts, maritime heritage and a folk museum, alongside platforms for volunteer opportunities and showcasing the talents of the region's residents.

The project marks a notable step toward building a cohesive economic community capable of turning local potential into real development opportunities, and underscores the importance of community initiatives in supporting Saudi Vision 2030's goal of comprehensive, balanced development for rural areas and their affiliated centers.
