Monsha'at Wraps Up 'Zero to Hero' Gaming Camp, Crowning 3 Innovative Projects Supporting Digital Sector Entrepreneurship
Riyadh, May 24, 2025 (26 Dhu al-Qa'dah 1446 AH) — The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority ("Monsha'at") concluded the activities of its "Zero to Hero" electronic gaming camp, in a ceremony held at the Monsha'at Support Center in Riyadh that saw three innovative entrepreneurial projects crowned in recognition of their excellence in developing and designing video games reflecting the Kingdom's promising national potential in this vital sector.
The camp honored the three winning teams — "Hanka," "Nomad" and "Al-Ula" — for the creative ideas and technical innovations they developed throughout the program, in the presence of Monsha'at's Deputy Governor for Entrepreneurship, Saud bin Khalid Al-Sabhan, alongside a number of investors and gaming industry experts.
The camp is one of the qualitative programs launched by Monsha'at to support the digital creative economy. It ran for 12 weeks with 148 applicants, of whom 10 entrepreneurial projects qualified for:
- 47 specialized workshops covering design, programming, user experience and prototyping.
- Four development phases, beginning with awareness-raising, moving through intensive training and prototype design, and concluding with final presentations before a specialized judging panel.
The program created a stimulating environment combining professional empowerment, hands-on training and connecting talent with investors, strengthening the Kingdom's gaming development ecosystem and helping graduate a new generation of developers capable of competing in regional and global markets.
The initiative is part of Monsha'at's strategy to develop future sectors and support tech entrepreneurship, by investing in young Saudi talent and enabling them to lead technology projects with a sustainable economic impact, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 targets.
