Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – July 3, 2025 (8 Muharram 1447 AH)
As part of the summer season's events in Diriyah's JAX district, fine artist Abdulmalik Al-Khonji is offering a live art experience through a "live painting show," demonstrating before visitors the stages of creating a painting using professional techniques that range from shading to visual composition.
The show runs until July 8, daily from 8:30 p.m. to midnight, giving visitors a unique chance to watch a work of art come to life moment by moment, amid strong engagement from an audience of families, art enthusiasts and young people.
A Creative Experience Bringing Artist and Audience Together
The show stood out for opening a space for direct interaction between the artist and the audience, adding an educational, interactive dimension to the experience, as the artist explained the steps of executing the work, detailed the drawing tools used, and described blending and composition techniques — deepening visitors' visual understanding and aesthetic appreciation of fine art.
The event also offered a unique window for the local public to learn about fine-art techniques from a live, direct perspective, away from traditional gallery settings, lending the work a lively, intimate character.
