The "Resin Art" pavilion shone at the fourth edition of Hail House Festival, held under the slogan "Our House is Your House, Welcome" at Aja Park, as artist Laila Saleh Al-Jarifani presented a distinguished collection of works inspired by Hail's nature and its heritage and geographic landmarks, amid strong engagement from visitors and art lovers.

Resin art is one of the most recent contemporary handmade craft arts, which has grown popular at Saudi exhibitions and festivals, relying on blending liquid resin with other materials to create three-dimensional molds and shapes used in accessories, décor, gifts and household products.

Innovative Creations Evoking Hail's Landmarks

Al-Jarifani presented an artistic collection inspired by the Hail environment, including:

  • Pens and prayer beads blended with Hail soil
  • Serving trays decorated with local plants
  • Artistic women's accessories
  • Wall clocks and wooden paintings coated with resin
  • Gifts blending resin with coffee, cardamom, red sand, shells and palm fronds

The artist said she has spent more than six years developing resin techniques and combining them with natural and heritage materials to produce art pieces that express the identity and aesthetics of the place, using techniques that mimic the sea, geode stones and Thamudic inscriptions.

Empowering Craftspeople as Part of the Year of Handicrafts 2025

The pavilion's participation came as part of Hail House Festival's focus on showcasing local handicrafts and strengthening the creative economy, coinciding with the Year of Handicrafts 2025, which is seeing wide government support for developing craft skills and empowering craftspeople.

Al-Jarifani thanked the festival's organizing committee for its ongoing support and its commitment to providing a platform for craftspeople to showcase their work to the public in a nurturing cultural and heritage setting.
