'Nafitha': A Four-Artist Exhibition Celebrating Realism With a Contemporary Spirit in Dammam
Dammam, Saudi Arabia — July 10, 2025
The Society for Culture and Arts in Dammam has opened the four-artist exhibition "Nafitha" (Window), which runs for seven days and features more than 48 works by a group of prominent artists, drawing strong attendance from art enthusiasts, critics and creatives.
The exhibition offers an interactive artistic platform that lets visitors experience realism through a contemporary visual lens, with works presented within the realist school using a range of techniques that reflect the harmony between style and idea, opening new windows for visual interpretation.
Realism in a Renewed Artistic Form
"Nafitha" aims to:
- Explore the details of everyday life from a painterly perspective
- Turn the realist school into a contemporary experience for reflection
- Blend human sensibility with artistic technique
- Foster cultural dialogue between artist and audience
The exhibition gives artists a chance to deliver their visual messages directly to the public, helping spread appreciation for the visual arts and opening the door to a visual dialogue about the nature of reality and its transformations.
Participating artists said realism retains its power for deep expression, provided it is presented in a contemporary visual language that matches audience expectations, noting that "Nafitha" opens the door to experimentation and different realist approaches through a visual focus on scene, detail and emotion.
