The Jeddah Arts and Culture Association continues to embody its cultural mission as a hub pulsing with creativity and artistic production in the Kingdom, through a series of distinctive initiatives and diverse events that reinforce Jeddah's standing as a prominent cultural destination, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop the cultural sector and empower youth.

Launching the Comprehensive Theater Club

As part of its recent activities, the association launched the Comprehensive Theater Club this week, with the participation of a select group of artists and theatrical talents, presenting theatrical and performance shows that address social issues from a contemporary perspective. The club aims to spread a culture of interactive theater as a tool for community expression and raising awareness, turning theater into a means of dialogue and influence.

Knowledge Initiatives and Training Workshops

Last week saw the launch of the Knowledge Workers Library, during a cultural evening that hosted a "How to Write a Book" workshop, alongside a panel discussion titled "Theater and the Stakes of the Future," which examined the future of theater amid digital and societal shifts.

Visual Art with a Message

In the visual arts, the association organized the ten-day "Al-Muhmal" (The Discarded) exhibition, which displayed artworks made using recycled materials, in an environmental and humanitarian statement that keeps pace with global artistic trends in sustainability. Pottery painting and free drawing workshops were also held, with the participation of young artists, as part of efforts to empower talent and develop local artistic capabilities.

Supporting Talent and Boosting Community Engagement

Mohammed Al Subaih, the association's director, explained that these activities are part of the association's strategy to encourage community participation and highlight artistic talent across various categories, through a nurturing creative environment that supports both art and the community.

A Cultural Legacy Spanning Decades

The association draws on more than fifty years of cultural and artistic work, and is currently working to modernize its cultural production mechanisms and activate its role as a key driver of the creative economy, while affirming national identity and strengthening Saudi Arabia's presence on the global arts scene.
