Madinah | 11 Safar 1447H, corresponding to 5 August 2025. The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission has closed the curtain on the fourth edition of Madinah Book Fair 2025, held from 29 July to 4 August 2025 under the theme "Madinah Reads," drawing more than 300 local and international publishing houses and agencies across more than 200 pavilions, in one of the most prominent cultural events the Kingdom has seen this year.

The Commission's CEO, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Wasel, affirmed that the fair formed a pivotal stop in the journey of Saudi cultural activity and reflected the Kingdom's renewed cultural vision, offering visitors an exceptional knowledge experience spanning publications, events, workshops and notable initiatives that serve the publishing industry and strengthen local content.

Dr. Al-Wasel noted that this year's edition saw a notable expansion in the number of participants and a diversification of activities, with a focus on quality and interactive technologies, including modern electronic services such as digital tickets and smart maps to ease visitors' movement. The discounted-books area also drew wide interest, helping broaden access to books and support local publishers.

The book-signing platform at the fair saw the launch of a number of new titles by prominent Saudi authors, while cultural and government bodies presented their latest initiatives, enriching the local cultural scene.

Children had a notable share of the fair's activities, with a dedicated area hosting workshops, storytelling spaces and educational competitions aimed at developing children's creative and knowledge skills and broadening their cultural horizons in a stimulating educational environment.

The fair is organized as part of the "Book Fairs" strategic initiative launched by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, which aims to support the publishing industry and activate culture as a driver of economic growth and a pillar of quality of life, in line with Vision 2030.
