The Abha branch of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts held a special poetry evening on the stage of Abha Literary Club, as part of the Summer 2025 season’s activities, drawing a notable turnout of intellectuals and literature enthusiasts in an evening dedicated to celebrating the spoken word and creativity.

The evening, which filled the theatre’s more than 500 seats, featured a collection of national and social poems inspired by Abha’s distinctive geography and rich heritage, with participating poets expressing the spirit and beauty of the place in a style that blended authenticity with modernity.

The event is part of the cultural programming organized alongside the major tourism activity that Asir region is witnessing during the Summer 2025 season, aimed at highlighting the region’s cultural and artistic heritage and promoting the concept of cultural tourism as part of a comprehensive tourism experience that combines nature and art.

The society said the evening represents a step toward deepening the connection between poets and their audience, and providing a platform for writers to express their ideas and creative visions, contributing to enriching Asir’s cultural scene and supporting the national artistic movement.
