BURAIDAH, 29 August 2025 — The Buraidah Dates Festival, held at the King Khalid Civilization Center, has seen a large turnout of residents and visitors from various regions of the Kingdom and Gulf countries, affirming its standing as one of the region's leading tourism, entertainment and economic destinations.

The accompanying events ranged from cultural, educational and entertainment programs to corners dedicated to productive families and handicrafts, and specialized exhibitions, alongside folk performances and theatrical shows that drew families and gave the festival a rich social character.

Notable Local and International Turnout

Suleiman Al-Fayez, CEO of the festival's accompanying events, affirmed that the festival attracted visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom, including diplomatic delegations of ambassadors and consuls from a number of countries, alongside businesspeople, investors and those interested in the agricultural sector, reflecting the festival's standing as a marketing and investment platform in the dates sector.

More Than Just a Global Dates Market

Al-Fayez explained that the success of the events' operational plan boosted community and tourist engagement with the diverse programs, noting that the festival is no longer just the world's largest dates market, but has become a platform that brings together entertainment, tourism and marketing, highlighting Qassim region's growing economic, cultural and tourism momentum.

Organization in Line with Vision 2030

The festival's events are held under the supervision of Qassim region's governorate, organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates and the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, with broad partnership between the public and private sectors, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the agricultural sector, boosting national products, empowering productive families, and highlighting local heritage.
