Riyadh, October 5, 2025 — As part of the cultural program accompanying the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission held a workshop yesterday titled "Book Talk: Latest Works," presented by author Nasser Al-Sinan before a strong turnout of writers, visitors and literature enthusiasts.

During the workshop, Al-Sinan walked the audience through the stages a novel goes through from the birth of an idea to reaching readers in print on library shelves, covering the steps of literary creation starting with shaping the idea and defining its message, moving through character and plot development, and then the writing, revision and editing stage that polishes the text linguistically and narratively.

He noted that the post-publication phase is a crucial part of an author's journey, involving cooperation with publishing houses and literary partners and applying marketing strategies to ensure the book reaches its target readers. He closed the session by presenting figures from his own experience writing his novel "Welcome to Life," explaining that "a novel is the fruit of a creative journey that begins with a passing thought and ends in a work that keeps renewing itself."

The workshop is part of the Riyadh book fair's efforts to enrich the Kingdom's cultural scene and strengthen its publishing and literary industry. The fair is open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight and runs through October 11.
