Riyadh, October 5, 2025 — King Fahd National Library is taking part in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025 with an informational pavilion highlighting its key work in legal deposit, cataloguing and restoration, introducing visitors to its leading role in preserving the Kingdom's cultural and intellectual heritage.

The library's pavilion features several specialized corners covering manuscripts, the National Archive of historical photographs, legal deposit, coins and currency, the book-restoration process, and a modern library-services station. It lets visitors learn how Saudi intellectual output of all kinds is documented, and explore the services the library offers government agencies, authors and publishing houses, including issuing International Standard Book and Serial Numbers for books, periodicals and academic theses.

The pavilion also offers live demonstrations of manuscript and historical-document restoration, using specialized tools such as chemical solutions, fine steel awls, sterilization equipment and restoration-grade paper. Alongside these demonstrations, it displays a collection of rare items including manuscripts, Islamic-era coins, gravestone inscriptions, and copies of the library's own scholarly publications and specialized periodicals.

The pavilion also features a digital platform that lets visitors download and follow the library's regular "Library Talk" seminar series, part of its ongoing effort to spread knowledge and strengthen a research culture in the Kingdom.
