Dar Awadah is a historic heritage landmark in Al Atawlah in the Al Baha region, restored and repurposed as a platform for cultural and community initiatives and events, and a space that combines preservation of architectural memory with sustainable heritage development in the region.
The house is led by Dr. Ahmed bin Awadah Al Zahrani as general supervisor and Mansour bin Mudais Al Ghamdi as executive director. It operates on a model that integrates civil associations and the private sector through a community partnership with the Al Atawlah Civil Development Association and the Al Rubou Heritage Association, with support from Osos Al Tanfeeth for Contracting and Engineering Consulting and Al Istidama Environmental Consulting (gold sponsors) and Ruya Trading (strategic sponsor).
Key activities and goals:
- Cultural events: the house organizes the "Colors of Al Baha" exhibition, whose first edition was launched under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Al Baha. The second edition is held under the title "Colors of Al Baha 2: Arabic Calligraphy" (the Throne of the Letter gathering) with the participation of leading calligraphers locally and internationally.
- Supporting and sustaining initiatives: turning cultural and social projects into established programs that can expand and grow.
- Empowering local talent: opening the door for the region's talent and residents to participate actively and contribute to the community.
- Strengthening heritage identity: using local heritage as a living element that supports sustainable development in the Al Baha region.
