The Madinah Literary Club was founded on 28 Safar 1395 AH (1975) as the second literary club in the Kingdom, on the initiative of the city's writers led by Abdulaziz Al-Rubai, who chaired it until his death in 1402 AH. The club operates under the Ministry of Culture, has published more than 60 titles in poetry, criticism and studies, and holds audio-visual libraries.
It organises seminars, lectures, poetry evenings and literary competitions for young people, and takes part in the region's cultural events such as the Madinah Book Fair.
