Unaizah, in Saudi Arabia's Qassim Region, is preparing to host the 8th MILSET Expo-Sciences Asia 2026 from November 1 to 5, 2026, bringing together young science and technology enthusiasts from across Asia.
The five-day international event will mark Saudi Arabia's first time hosting the Asian scientific exhibition, which was originally launched in Kuwait in 2010 and has since been organized in different Asian countries every two years.
The event is organized by the Qassim Science and Technology Association in cooperation with the Asian Regional Office of the International Movement for Leisure Activities in Science and Technology (MILSET).
Activities will take place at the Qassim Science Center in Unaizah, including the Abdullah Hamad Al-Zamil Science Oasis.
An International Platform for Young Scientists
MILSET Expo-Sciences Asia 2026 welcomes young participants aged 12 to 25 from organizations affiliated with MILSET across Asia.
The exhibition provides a multicultural environment where participants can present scientific projects, exchange knowledge, and engage with peers who share an interest in science, technology, and innovation.
Unlike conventional science competitions, the event follows a non-competitive format, emphasizing collaboration, learning, and cultural exchange rather than rankings and awards.
Five Major Scientific Fields
Participants will showcase projects across five principal scientific disciplines.
These include biological and health sciences, pure and applied sciences, environmental and ecological sciences, engineering and computer sciences with robotics applications, and social and behavioral sciences.
The exhibition aims to encourage young researchers to explore scientific challenges, share innovative ideas, and communicate their findings with an international audience.
Workshops, Youth Conferences, and Cultural Activities
The five-day program will feature scientific exhibitions alongside a variety of educational and cultural activities.
These include specialized workshops, youth conferences, the MILSET Asia General Assembly, school visits, and cultural tours introducing international participants to the Qassim Region.
The activities are designed to strengthen scientific communication, promote international friendships, and create opportunities for collaboration among young innovators.
Participation Requirements and Registration
Participation in the scientific exhibition is limited to delegations nominated by MILSET member organizations from participating countries.
Each project may be represented by up to four students and one supervisor.
Participation fees vary according to the participant's category and the membership status of the nominating organization. The fees cover accommodation, meals, and local transportation during the event.
Visits by local school students are arranged separately through a booking process managed by the Qassim Science Center.
Strengthening Saudi Arabia's Role in International Science Events
Hosting MILSET Expo-Sciences Asia 2026 represents an important milestone for Saudi Arabia's scientific and educational events sector.
The gathering provides an opportunity to showcase the Kingdom's scientific facilities, encourage youth participation in research and innovation, and strengthen international cooperation in science and technology.
It also highlights Unaizah's growing role as a destination for educational, scientific, and cultural events.
