On 22 December 2024 the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority announced the launch of "Nailat Camp" inside the reserve in Hail Region, running for 45 days at a site surrounded by towering mountains and golden sands.
The camp offered complete facilities for eco-recreation and activities including camel and horse riding, hiking trails, stargazing and visits to the reserve's archaeological and historic sites, as part of the authority's efforts to promote sustainable eco-tourism and raise awareness of biodiversity.
