The Hira Cultural District concluded its "Craftsmen" event after five days of cultural and heritage programming that drew large numbers of visitors of various ages and nationalities, offering an interactive experience that introduced the public to the depth of traditional Saudi crafts and their role in shaping cultural identity.

The event ran from November 22 to 26 and saw notable attendance thanks to the diversity of its activities, which included competitions, prize giveaways, traditional food and interactive games that added a family-friendly entertainment touch, helping create an environment that combined fun and knowledge.

The "Little Craftsman" workshop stood out as one of the event's key highlights, giving children the chance to practice handicrafts in a simplified educational way. The workshop featured Sadu weaving, a time-honored Saudi heritage craft, as children learned about its tools and techniques and how colored threads are turned into woven pieces bearing traditional symbols and patterns.

Parents praised the workshop's interactive nature, saying it combined education with fun and helped strengthen the new generation's connection to national crafts and heritage.

The "Craftsmen" event is part of ongoing efforts to revive heritage arts and highlight local craftsmen, as part of supporting creative and craft industries as a core part of the Kingdom's vision to strengthen the cultural economy and develop national talent.

The closing day saw wide engagement from visitors who took part in the final activities, with children competing in closing contests amid a festive atmosphere featuring heritage performances and traditional food that won over attendees. Organizers affirmed they will continue launching similar programs to support local crafts and revive Saudi heritage in innovative and engaging ways for different audiences.
