ICAN 2026 AI Capacity-Building Conference Comes to Riyadh on 28 and 29 January
Riyadh, 20 January 2026
Riyadh hosts the International Conference on Capacity Building in Data and Artificial Intelligence (ICAN 2026) at the end of January, a global platform that maps the future of work and education. The event extends the Kingdom's efforts to empower people and build an economy founded on knowledge and advanced technology.
ICAN 2026 brings together experts, specialists and decision-makers from more than 50 local and international bodies to discuss labour market transformation and human capacity building in the age of AI. The conference highlights the role of technology-enabled education in preparing a generation able to meet future demands, with a focus on skills in artificial intelligence, big data, cybersecurity, and analytical and creative thinking.
The conference reflects the Kingdom's direction, under the leadership of the Crown Prince, towards investing in people as a central pillar of Saudi Vision 2030, through initiatives led by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) in partnership with universities and global institutions. The event includes panel sessions and specialised workshops, the signing of strategic partnerships, and the launch of initiatives that localise technology and strengthen Saudi leadership in data and AI globally.
