Riyadh, 9 Sha'ban 1447 AH (28 January 2026)

The fifth Real Estate Future Forum concluded today in Riyadh under the banner "Expanding Horizons, Thriving Real Estate", held under the patronage of Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Real Estate General Authority. Broad local and international participation underscored the Kingdom's standing as an influential centre of global real estate decision-making.

The forum issued closing recommendations reflecting the maturity of the Saudi real estate experience, the widening scope for investment, and the sector's transformation into a comprehensive development engine that supports economic growth, improves quality of life and cements the Kingdom's role in leading the global property conversation. The recommendations emerged from the participation of more than 10,000 attendees from 140 countries and over 300 speakers and experts across more than 50 panel sessions and specialised workshops.

More than 80 agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed to launch initiatives promoting real estate investment, knowledge exchange, human capital development and the sector's regulatory and technological environment. In its closing statement, the forum thanked the leadership for the unlimited support that has enabled the sector's comprehensive transformation and the building of an advanced real estate ecosystem with sustainable economic and development impact.

The forum said the entry into force of the updated law on non-Saudi ownership of real estate marks a qualitative shift that enhances the Saudi market's appeal through a clear regulatory framework balancing local specificity with global openness, protecting rights and raising transparency. The Kingdom, it noted, has moved from a promising market to a global platform where policies are shaped and real estate standards set.

It stressed the importance of stable regulatory frameworks, a data-driven property market, the adoption of proptech and artificial intelligence in market management, investment in human capital, deeper regional and international integration, and the encouragement of innovation and modern real estate financing models, all contributing to sustainable cities that place people at the heart of development.

The forum announced that its sixth edition will be held from 18 to 20 January 2027 and opened registration for the next Real Estate Excellence Award.
