Sakaka, 12 Sha'ban 1447 AH (31 January 2026)
Al-Jouf Region Municipality, represented by Dumat Al-Jandal Municipality, has opened investment and entrepreneurial opportunities for young men and women of the region during the twelfth edition of the Al-Jouf Dates Festival at the Dumat Al-Jandal exhibition centre, as part of efforts to energise the local economy and empower entrepreneurs.
Eng. Mishal bin Mohammed Al-Hassan, Mayor of Dumat Al-Jandal, said the festival hosts 16 food trucks this year. The municipality provided a package of support including fully equipped business incubators, sites served by all basic utilities inside the exhibition centre, and completely free plots to encourage emerging entrepreneurs.
The support also included streamlined procedures and faster professional and municipal licensing, helping entrepreneurial projects launch quickly and sustain themselves, in line with Vision 2030's goals of empowering young people and growing the local economy.
Through these initiatives, the regional municipality aims to transform the dates festival from a traditional agricultural showcase into an integrated economic ecosystem that nurtures small and medium enterprises, develops national talent and creates quality investment opportunities for the region's young people.
