The University of Tabuk yesterday concluded the third GCC International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM 2026), which ran for three days with international speakers and experts, academics, practitioners and researchers, organized by the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) Society in cooperation with the university's College of Engineering.

Dr. Fares Al Muhammadi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee and Dean of the College of Engineering, said the conference was a specialized scientific platform for exchanging expertise and knowledge and strengthening partnerships between universities and industry, supporting Saudi Vision 2030 and developing the industrial engineering and operations management ecosystem in the GCC countries.

He said the conference included a number of specialized scientific sessions on the latest directions in simulation and digital twin technology, applications of industrial engineering in efficient workforce design, the concepts of sustainability in the industrial environment, preparing the engineers of the future according to national development requirements, and global trends in industrial engineering and their role in supporting sustainability and the circular economy.

The conference saw notable engagement and wide participation from engineering students from various universities, giving them a quality chance to learn about the latest scientific and technical developments and build bridges with experts and specialists in the field.
