Hail, 6 Ramadan 1447 AH (23 February 2026)
The Hail branch of the Society of Culture and Arts has held an art event to mark Founding Day at the Culture House, attended by leading intellectuals, artists and fine art enthusiasts, in a festive atmosphere embodying pride in national identity and the historical depth of the Saudi state.
The event featured a set of artworks inspired by Saudi cultural heritage and reflecting the enduring national values tied to Founding Day, evoking the beginnings of the Saudi state in 1139 AH (1727) and the meanings of pride, belonging and loyalty the occasion represents.
The art corners offered varied creative experiences, including painting on tamarisk wood, linen fiber and burlap, along with pyrography on wood and glass engraving, as well as an Arabic calligraphy corner that drew wide interest from visitors, who were able to follow the stages of creating the works and learn about the techniques and methods used.
Khudair Al Shuraihi, Director of the society, said the branch's participation in the national occasion stems from its cultural and artistic mission and its commitment to strengthening the presence of the arts as a civilized means of expressing national identity and instilling the values of belonging, praying that God preserve the nation's security, stability and prosperity under its wise leadership.
The event reflects the role cultural institutions play in highlighting Saudi artistic heritage and raising awareness of the state's history through creative tools that keep pace with national cultural activity and support the art scene across the Kingdom's regions.
