AlUla, 16 Ramadan 1447 AH (5 March 2026)

The AlUla Lighthouse (Manarat AlUla) team has held a Ramadan evening titled "Ramadan Under the Stars of AlUla" as part of its "Journey Through the Stars" series, at the Old Town theater in AlUla, within the cultural programs accompanying the holy month of Ramadan.

The evening combined astronomical storytelling with moon observation under AlUla's clear sky, with the participation of astronomer Majed Al Zahoufi and an audience of astronomy enthusiasts from every segment of the community.

Interactive Activities for Families and Children

The event included a set of accompanying activities, including a lantern-making workshop for children and a corner for traditional henna art inspired by the concepts of astronomy, in an interactive experience that engaged families and children in educational and entertaining activities suited to the atmosphere of the holy month.

Linking Heritage with Scientific Knowledge

The evening aimed to raise awareness of astronomy and connect cultural heritage with scientific knowledge through simplified content in harmony with the Ramadan atmosphere, enriching the experience of residents and visitors in AlUla's Old Town.

The event is part of a series of programs the AlUla Lighthouse team runs throughout the year to instill a culture of discovery and knowledge and raise scientific awareness through stimulating learning experiences outside conventional frameworks, enabling every segment of the community to engage directly with the concepts of science, nature and the universe.
