The Hira Cultural District has hosted a distinctive literary seminar titled "Gems of the Arabic Language", part of its series of cultural programs aimed at raising linguistic awareness and highlighting the civilizational value of Arabic as a fundamental pillar of cultural identity and a rich source of knowledge.

The seminar took place at the Hira Literary Café before a notable audience of Arabic language and literature enthusiasts, discussing a set of intellectual themes that spotlighted the richness of Arabic vocabulary, the beauty of its rhetorical styles and the role of language in shaping cultural awareness and community identity.

The seminar also addressed the contemporary challenges facing Arabic, especially amid digital transformation and the spread of colloquial dialects, stressing the importance of preserving the integrity of the language and strengthening its presence across every area of life, including media, education and daily communication.

Participants stressed the role of cultural and educational institutions in developing individuals' language skills and entrenching the use of classical Arabic as a tool for refined communication and a bridge for passing cultural and knowledge values between generations.

The seminar is part of the Hira Cultural District's continued efforts to offer quality initiatives that enrich literary and intellectual life in Makkah and strengthen the standing of Arabic in society, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals of supporting culture and national identity.
