Jeddah, 27 Shawwal 1447 AH (15 April 2026)

Jeddah has hosted the graduation ceremony of the 55th cohort of King Abdulaziz University, numbering 24,039 male and female graduates, at the King Faisal Conference Center under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalid Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz and in the presence of HH Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, along with academic leaders and parents.

An Exceptional Cohort by the Numbers

This year's cohort comprised 10,288 male and 13,751 female graduates across disciplines and degrees, including bachelor's, graduate, doctoral and diploma programs. Some 3,620 graduates earned first-class honors, an achievement reflecting the quality of the university's academic outcomes.

Opening and Inspiring Messages

The ceremony opened with the royal anthem and a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by addresses from graduates and international students expressing pride in their academic achievement and appreciation for the support of the university and the Kingdom's leadership throughout their studies.

An Inspiring Human Story

The ceremony featured a moving film documenting the story of a graduate who returned to her studies after a 15-year break and achieved her university dream at the age of 62, a story embodying determination and the truth that ambition knows no age.

The University's Mission and Development Role

In his address, the university president said graduation marks the beginning of a new stage of contribution and responsibility, pointing to the graduates' role in building the nation and advancing development in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Honoring the Top Graduates

At the close of the ceremony, the Governor of Jeddah honored 60 of the top graduates across doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees in recognition of their academic excellence and efforts during their studies.
