Riyadh, 10 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1447 AH (27 April 2026)

HE Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Alsheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance and General Supervisor of the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah and Ziyarah, today launched from his office at the ministry the secretariat's work for the Hajj season of 1447 AH, as part of the ministry's comprehensive plan to deliver Dawah and awareness programs to pilgrims.

The launch was attended by a number of deputy ministers and department directors, as part of early preparations for the Hajj season to ensure integrated Dawah and guidance services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and visitors that enrich their spiritual experience and help them perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.

Integrated Dawah Programs at Pilgrim Service Sites

The secretariat's work involves a comprehensive package of Dawah and awareness programs, including scholarly lessons, sermons and answers to pilgrims' questions at a number of key sites, such as the mosques of Al Hill, the cabins on Mount Arafat and Mount Thawr, and hotel prayer halls in the central area around the Grand Mosque.

These programs aim to provide direct religious guidance to pilgrims in multiple languages, making it easier to perform the rituals correctly according to Sharia and strengthening the awareness and religious dimension of the Hajj and Umrah journey.

Digital Services and a 24-Hour Toll-Free Line

The services include the unified toll-free line (8002451000), which operates around the clock to receive and answer questions in multiple world languages, ensuring the service reaches pilgrims of every nationality.

The ministry also offers a video call service via iPad devices, allowing Hajj and Umrah pilgrims to put their religious questions directly to specialists and receive immediate answers in several languages, a step that reflects the use of modern technology to serve pilgrims and raise service quality.

Awareness Messages and Printed Guides in Multiple Languages

The secretariat's plan also includes broadcasting awareness and guidance messages around the clock on electronic screens at its various work sites, and distributing awareness and guidance publications in Makkah in several world languages, ensuring Dawah messages reach the widest possible range of pilgrims.

These initiatives raise religious and organizational awareness, help pilgrims perform their rituals with ease and deepen their understanding of the rulings tied to Hajj, Umrah and Ziyarah.

More Than 160,000 Programs by 1,822 Preachers

More than 1,822 preachers and 120 interpreters take part in delivering these programs. The secretariat aims to deliver more than 160,000 Dawah programs in the mosques of Makkah and Madinah, as well as at entry points, miqat sites and pilgrim cities.

The plan also targets more than 600,000 calls through the toll-free line and the video consultation service, more than 10 million electronic messages on digital screens, and the distribution of around 300,000 guidance and awareness publications.

Continued Efforts in the Service of Pilgrims

The launch reflects the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance's commitment to providing an integrated Dawah system for pilgrims, enriching their spiritual experience and enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind, in keeping with the Kingdom's great efforts in serving and caring for pilgrims.

The Kingdom continues to develop Hajj, Umrah and Ziyarah services in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on raising the quality of services for pilgrims and achieving the highest standards of organization and care.
