Riyadh, 10 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1447 AH (27 April 2026)

HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh Region, this evening attended the graduation ceremony of 1,800 bachelor's and master's students of the Saudi Electronic University for the academic year 1447 AH at Mayadeen Theater in Diriyah Governorate, in a celebratory atmosphere that reflected the importance of this academic achievement and its role in supporting education and national development.

The Governor was received on arrival by university president Dr. Mohammed bin Yahya Mardi and a number of university leaders. The ceremony opened with the royal anthem and a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the graduates' procession marking the culmination of their educational journey.

The Graduates' Address: Pride and Gratitude

In their address, the graduates expressed deep thanks and gratitude for the Governor's patronage and attendance, describing his presence as a crowning moment of their academic journey and a strong motivation to continue succeeding and contributing.

They said graduation is the fruit of years of hard work and perseverance, and that what was achieved today is a new beginning toward serving the nation and its leadership and contributing actively to building the Kingdom's future.

University President: Leadership Support Is the Foundation of Education and Innovation

Dr. Mohammed bin Yahya Mardi, President of the Saudi Electronic University, expressed thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the continued support and attention the education sector enjoys in education, research and innovation.

He also thanked the Governor of Riyadh for his patronage of the ceremony, expressing deep appreciation for his attendance at an occasion that marks an important milestone in the students' academic and professional lives.

An Advanced Model Combining In-Person and Digital Learning

Dr. Mardi said that since its founding the Saudi Electronic University has adopted an advanced educational model built on the integration of in-person teaching and digital technology, developing the learning experience and raising students' readiness to compete in the labor market at home and abroad.

He said the model reflects the Kingdom's direction toward modern education built on flexibility and innovation, and strengthens graduates' ability to keep pace with rapid change across sectors.

He congratulated the graduates and stressed the importance of investing the knowledge and skills they have gained in the service of religion, nation and leadership, and in active participation in national development.

A Documentary and a Live Show, "A Student's Journey"

The ceremony featured a documentary on the university's educational, academic and research achievements, along with a live show titled "A Student's Journey" depicting the stages a student passes through from enrollment to graduation.

The ceremony closed with group photographs of the graduates with the Governor of Riyadh and the attendees, in a scene reflecting pride in achievement and a successful academic journey.

The ceremony is part of the Saudi Electronic University's efforts to support and qualify national talent, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals of building a knowledge society and an economy based on education and innovation.
